What is Studio Norma?

Studio Norma is our homage to home. Our place on earth we created especially for those who want to see what slow living is really about. In our two carefully curated studios that sleep up to four people each, true craftsmanship is the essence. We want to give everyone a peek into that real Sicilian lifestyle. That’s why we work together with local people as much as possible.

How do I get to Studio Norma?

Studio Norma is located in Sciacca, Sicily. The nearest airports are Palermo or Trapani Airport (both about 1,5 hours driving from Studio Norma). There are several airlines that provide flights to these airports.

For our guests coming from The Netherlands:

EasyJet has flights 2 times per week from Amsterdam (not the whole year)
Transavia has flights 2 times per week from Rotterdam
Ryanair has flights from Düsseldorf/Weeze to Trapani (3 times a week, but not the whole year)

Do you recommend to rent a car?

Public transport can be a bit of a hassle in Sicily. That’s why we recommend you to rent a car, so that you can easily explore the rest of the island as well.

If car rental is not an option, we can help you arrange a shuttle service from Palermo or Trapani Airport to Studio Norma.

If you do arrive by public transport (bus), the nearest bus stop is about 4 kilometers from Studio Norma. From there we can arrange a shuttle to pick you up. Please ask us about possibilities and prices for that. But of course you can also grab a cap to take you there the last couple of miles.

And when in Sciacca without a car, you can also rent a scooter.

How many people can sleep in Studio Norma?

We offer two studios that can be rented separately or together. Studio UNO has two spacious bedrooms that sleep 4 people in total. Studio DUE sleeps 2 people. Please ask us about availability to rent the studios together. We’re more than happy to help.

Is Studio Norma suitable for long term stays, as a digital nomad for example?

We are digital nomads ourselves and thought long and hard about how we can accommodate long term stays when realizing our vision for Studio Norma. Next to the fact we do everything in our power to make you feel at home at Studio Norma, we did our best to fully equip our studios with everything you might need for a longer stay. A great internet connection, washing machine, spa-like bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens with actual cooking gear. You’re more than happy to work remotely (or just experience that Italian lifestyle for a bit longer) at Studio Norma!

What would a day in Studio Norma look like?

We love starting our day slow. Prep your morning coffee in our completely renovated kitchen, and enjoy it overlooking the ocean. Go for a stroll around town. Pick up some buratta, focaccia and pistachio at the market. Go for a refreshing plunge in the sea. Have some gelato. Take a steamy hot shower after exploring all of the beauty of fisherman village Sciacca. Have some Pasta a la Norma at one of our recommended places. Sleep deeper than you’ve ever did before. Repeat the next day.
